Far too true. By removing all "danger" from children's lives - these marvelous nauseators, jungle gyms, see-saws, etc. - society has also removed all sense of what danger is and why, replacing it with a sense of entitlement to safety. If it were up to me, all this equipment would immediately be returned to all playgrounds and the requirement to stop for school busses would be removed. If a kid old enough to go to school can't learn to not run across the road without carefully avoiding traffic, they should never be allowed out on their own anyway, especially behind the wheel of a car.
